Trust, sources & corrections
You should be able to check everything we say. Every fact links to a dated source.
Primary sources we use
- Congress.gov (bill text, actions) ↗
- govinfo.gov (official bill text) ↗
- SEC press releases, litigation releases and statements ↗
- CFTC press releases and industry filings ↗
- Federal Register ↗
- NYDFS regulated virtual currency entities ↗
- FinCEN MSB Registrant Search ↗
- ESMA interim MiCA register ↗
- FCA cryptoassets ↗
- Coinbase Digital Asset Disclosures ↗
- CoinGecko (market data, rankings) ↗
Company pages (licence lists, proof-of-reserves pages) are labelled "Company / third-party". News reports are used only when no primary source is available, and they're labelled too.
Independence
- No affiliate links or paid placements.
- No payments from token issuers, foundations or exchanges.
- Statuses and scores can't be bought or changed on request. Only new evidence changes them.
Corrections
If a fact is wrong or out of date, it gets fixed and the change is recorded in that page's change log. A public corrections form is coming soon.
Automation
The daily cron collects official updates but never changes a status. Possible impacts are flagged for human review.
